Hospice is a special way of caring for a person at the end of life, offering comfort and compassion when medical treatment no longer offers a cure. Our hospice patients include those with illnesses such as cancer, congestive heart failure, emphysema and end-stage dementia.

Hospice care is family-centered and takes place at home or in a different living facility. Our highly skilled and specially trained hospice team includes physicians, nurses, hospice aides, medical social workers, and spiritual and bereavement counselors.

A dietician, music therapist and other professionals are also available to meet individualized needs. The hospice team work hand-in-hand with your doctor to provide expert medical care and pain and symptom relief, known as palliative care. We also provide emotional and spiritual support for patient and family. A nurse is available 24/7.

Specially trained hospice volunteers provide supportive services for families. These include conversation, companionship, compassionate listening, massage, preparation of a light meal or running an errand.

Serenity House, our residential hospice house, is available if you and your family are unable to receive services at home.

Hospice Care is a benefit under Medicare, Medi-Cal and most private insurances. Please find more information under Payment for Services.
