Volunteers are the heart of Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care.

Volunteers bring commitment, understanding, wisdom and the gifts of time. 

Opportunities for volunteers are wide and varied, and may include compassionate assistance to home health or hospice patients and their families, supporting the staff and patients at Serenity House, bereavement support to families and friends, music, singing or reading.  There are also opportunities with the Speaker’s Bureau, administrative assistance, and assistance at events and fundraising.

All volunteers will be invited in for an interview and attend a training session.

Patient Care Volunteers

Serenity House Volunteers

In addition to the process of becoming a patient care volunteer, those wishing to volunteer their time to serve at Serenity House will have a special orientation. To become a Serenity House Volunteer please contact Michelle Cervantez (contact information shown above).
