As part of your long-range financial planning, you may wish to make a planned or deferred gift, a gift that will be received by Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care only after you have provided for your loved ones and yourself. Planned or deferred gifts may save taxes and fulfill your charitable intent.
The simplest type of deferred gift is a revocable Bequest in your will or trust. More complex Life Income Gifts provide many benefits for you the donor: charitable tax deduction, life long income, avoidance of capital gains, and the satisfaction of making a significant charitable commitment.
With a Bequest or a Life Income Gift you can create a legacy that will help ensure a healthy future for Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care of Santa Barbara and our community.
The Foundation’s Planned Giving Committee, comprised of experts in the field of planned giving, is ready to work with you, your attorney and your financial advisor to develop the best way to benefit your loved ones, yourself, save taxes, fulfill your charitable plans and secure the future of Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care.
The Samaritan Society. When you inform the Foundation of your intent to include Visiting Nurse and Hospice Care in your Will or Estate Plan, you will become a member of the Samaritan Society and be listed on the Samaritan Honor Roll, unless you wish to remain anonymous. A special appreciation luncheon is held each fall for Samaritan Society members.
