Contributors to Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care are recognized in many ways:  Newsletter listings, memorial recognition, Chairman’s Council, Samaritan Society, and naming opportunities.

Listing in Caring Newsletter
All memorial contributions and other gifts of any size are listed in our Caring newsletter published three times a year.  For gifts made in memory and in honor of someone special, a handwritten note is sent notifying the person being honored or the family of the person being remembered.  Of course, if you prefer your gift to remain anonymous, that is honored as well.

Chairman’s Council
All gifts of $1,000 and more are recognized by honorary membership in the Chairman’s Council.  This group is comprised of community leaders, corporations and other organizations that wish to give the gift of health by enriching and expanding the work of Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care in the Santa Barbara community. Hospice Angel Plaques
Donors who contribute $10,000 and more designated for hospice care and for Serenity House are recognized each year on a beautiful Hospice Angel plaque installed in the patio area of Serenity House. 

Samaritan Society
The Samaritan Society is an honorary recognition society for those who have generously remembered Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care in their estate plans. Benefits include invitations throughout the year to various donor events, and an annual appreciation luncheon and gift exclusive for Samaritan Society members.

Naming Opportunities
In recognition of major gifts of $25,000 and above, there are a variety of naming opportunities available at the existing headquarter building at 222 E. Canon Perdido, Santa Barbara and Serenity House,  the planned new 18-bed hospice residential facility to be constructed at 930 Miramonte.   For more information on the Serenity House capital campaign and naming opportunities there, please call Pat Snyder at the VNHC Foundation, 690-6222.
